Check Database Version

(1/1)

jenem:
Installed 2.86.

Installation went fine.
Entered Pin but message displayed check database .
How can I check db version without access to management settings ?

Edgar

emre:
That means application database version and SQL database version does not match. You should see DB:13-13 on application window title. Generally that happens if setup application can't upgrade database model. You can try reinstall for restarting db upgrade process...

JohnS:
Edgar,

Do you still have compact SQL files on your system for different user logins?

Emre,

When upgrading, does the installer look at the SambaSettings.txt file for database location, or does it look for the database files in the user directories ?

jenem:
Hi John,

Probably yes!

I installed SQLexpress and ran 2.85 and I could see that Sambapos was still using the old sambadata2.sdf and I could run the old database.

It must be after I turned off computer that the SQLExpress server started running in background and the new sambapos 2.86 installation found that installation and the original sambadata2.sdf file.

I can still see sambadata2.sdf file in my documnets.
