Yes I'm still around
JohnS:
The first time it is run, it creates the training database, and will continue to use that database everytime you run training mode until you delete the SambaTrain.sdf file which is located with your SambaSettings.txt file.
Or, you can change the Training.vbs script (first line of code, change to TRUE) to create a new training database everytime you run training mode. To change the script, you may need to give yourself permission to modify the file thru Properties -> Security as by default you only have Read & Execute permission.
Also, you can tell that your in training mode because at the bottom left of the login screen it will show SAMBA POS 2.xx - CE, instead of SAMBA POS 2.xx - SQ
CE - Compact SQL
SQ - SQL Express
When you exit training mode, you return to the normal version of SambaPOS.

7.6 Million Sq Km's
4,000km East-West
3,500km North-South
35,000km of coastline (not sure on that one?)
90% of the population lives in 10% of the country - mostly East coast
My service area for the business is,
450km East-West
350km North-South
Approx 160,000 Sq Km's
Now that is some useless stats :)
CafeCuppio:
Okay, checked the training mode again and it still open SQL Express and not Compact SQL ???
CafeCuppio:
hmmm, it might help if I have Compact SQL installed, lol
JohnS:
The script will tell you if something is wrong or missing from your setup.
In the Training folder there is a shortcut for SambaPOS Training, just copy that to your desktop and run it.
It works with SQL Express and Compact SQL databases.
