« on: April 07, 2012, 04:38:20 am »
Hi, I would like to print a message or a copy of the bill in the kitchen when a ticket is printed. I tried in a thousand ways but I can not. Any suggestions?

Hi spanky!
What exactly are you trying to do?
If you want to send a message to the kitchen printer, you can use ticket note.
If you want to send the total bill amount to the kitchen printer, you can edit the kitchen template to include the total amount in it.
If none of the above, then I'm really sorry!

Regards,
Leon.

To print a bill at the same time as the kitchen ticket to the kitchen printer, create a duplicate print job of the kitchen orders and change the printer template to the bill template.
This will print a bill for exactly what has been ordered.
Dont forget to add the print job to the terminal.

I do not print out the order to the kitchen, I have to print a copy of the bill in the kitchen.

Hi, Spanky. I think you are requesting something we are not familiar with. If we can understand your case we may help better.
How do you use the copy of bill on kitchen? Normally we print bills for customers who already ate and ready to pay.

I explain the situation better.
I have the case where the printer will print the bill to give the customer,
then I have the printer in the kitchen.
I wish that when the bill is printed, a copy is also printed on the printer in the kitchen.

OK, then its the other way.

Duplicate your bill print job, and change the printer to the kitchen printer, add the print job to the terminal and done.

I think I understood the problem. Spanky wants to print a bill on different printers at the same time but "Bill Printing" is manual printing that executes with a button click and it won't execute second print job.

The solution is using a dummy ticket tag button for executing two "Execute Print Job" actions and another action for removing that tag immediately. If I understood the problem right I can give more details about needed configuration.

Solved! I had not added the print job to the terminal. With Johns and Emre.

I think I have to add a small hint under PrintJob editing page about this.

Big red letters?

Is it possible to list the terminals that are assigned to the print job someway, or could we select the terminals while creating the print jobs?

A small guide in English would be perfect.
Now I will present another problem.
Should I print an invoice with a different numerator.
I did it this way:
- Added invoice numerator
- Create ticket tag with updated settings and numerator invoice.
- copy print job and modified printed invoice template.
Now: I managed by pressing the button to change ticket tag numerator, but not
I manage to print the document also because the print button is not displayed.

If you want to print it when it gets tagged you can add another rule that will handle "Ticket Tag Selected" event and execute "print invoice" print job with "Execute Print Job" action.

I did not create the print button. I tried an installation on a clean laptop and it works. I think there's a problem with the database.
