not a valid printer error message

when printing from a client terminal on the same network.

I have shared the printer on the server but still getting the above error when printing from a client terminal?

What is the printer share name that your using in SambaPOS ?
SambaPOS - POS'n the World, one Terminal at a time.

Hi John

The printer share name was the same as the printer name= "POS80" which was also what the name was stated as in SambaPOS. However I changed the share name to something new i.e. WIN90PT

I then installed the printer driver on the client terminal and in Printer Properties - Ports - Add Port - Local Port = \\SERVERNAME\PRINTERSHARENAME

And now is all working fine. Thanks John
