Version 3 over Version 2

We love the software and where this all seems to be going.

However, it seems Version 3, when it is ready, will not be an 'update', but rather a new system?

What does this mean for us running V2.7 currently? Will we need to install V3 and re-configure from scratch?

With SambaPOS 3.x we want to target operations other than restaurants. For this reason big infrastructural changes needed. While doing it we wanted to keep 2.x release stable. We'll implement most new features on 3.x infrastructure but we're still developing new releases for 2.x version for different reasons.

After creating first 3.x beta we'll create tools for transferring 2.x configuration to 3.x version.

Fantastic... I noticed you are incorporating more of the inventory side of things into V3... nice for those who need it!!!

I do hope you will continue to take suggestions and make V2 a powerhouse POS!!
