Title: Terminal for Kitchen
Post by: ted944 on May 21, 2013, 05:55:38 am
I just found out about the wonderful SambaPOS when looking for a POS for a small cafe.

One function I'm not sure how to do in Samba. I need to have a display terminal located in the kitchen to show items grouped together by type, not by customers, for example, 4 burgers, 3 sandwiches, etc.

The display will have a button next to each group. Every time an item is finished, the kitchen staff will press the button next to the group and the count will decrease. Every time the register enters a new order, the count in the kitchen display will increase.

Can anyone tell me how I can do this with SambaPOS? Also, if the software doesn't have the function, I'd like to know how big a job this is to implement.

Thanks for the great software you guys have developed.
