Title: Regular Customer Discounts on certain products
Post by: QMcKay on April 13, 2013, 11:09:05 am
I have something I've been fighting with trying to figure out for a few days now.  We run a business that has regular daily customers (locals), and a lot of tourists.  We also have happy hour (4-7pm) daily.

I'd like to be able to give "locals" the happy hour (HH) price all day long, while still retaining full price for tourists, unless it happens to be happy hour (4-7pm).  I thought I might be able to do this using different price lists, and by selecting a "local" customer, it would change to the HH list, whereas if I selected no customer, it would use the normal price list, unles it was HH time of day.

I tried this by creating a rule for "Entity Selected", but it doesn't seem to work - in fact I can't even execute a "Show Message" when I select the customer, let alone change price lists.  I also attempted to use Ticket Tags, but once I "turn on" the "locals pricing", it won't turn off.

Can someone help me with this scenario?

Thanks,
Q
