Post by: pramil on February 23, 2013, 12:34:38 pm
I have an EPSON TM-U220 connected to a cash drawer. I have tried to open the drawer using <DRAWER> and <XCT 27,112,48,55,121> <XCT 27,112,0,25,250> and <XCT 27,112,0,64,240> but all these failed. can someone help and give me the code?

According to this page http://keyhut.com/popopen.htm (http://keyhut.com/popopen.htm) it should be 27,112,0,25,250 OR 27,112,0,64,240.

Thanx. But tried both these codes. Did not work. Gave <XCT 27,112,0,64,240>  or <XCT 27,112,0,25,250> in the header section of the template. The printout comes, not the drawer. Drawer ejects when printing done using windows (test page). What can I do? Any setting in the SAMBAPOS to change?

Yes the problem might be what lemmings said.

If it don't work the printer might be configured to open drawer on every print (instead of command). I didn't used that printer before. Can you check if there is such setting on printer configuration tool?

We can also try to fake a Form Feed command with <XCT 12> or <XCT 21,74>

Removed the settings in of the printer. (See attachment). Is the syntax <XCT 27,112,48,55,121> correct? I gave a blank template with only this in the header. Tried the footer also, did not work. The printer prints the blank, but does not open drawer.

How to use the fake command? What does it do? Sorry, I'm new to SambaPOS.

Got it solved. Thanx for all the help. Since I have USB printer, had to install virtual com port. Basic error!
