Title: Get button in fast-food department without selecting a product

I have made an "open cashdrawer"button the usual way for a fast food department/terminal. The problem is that this button only "pops up" when a product is selected. I there a way to change this behavior, that it is always shown in the button list on the left side?

Using Emre's guide for printing kitchen messages, I made a product button for opening the cash drawer, and mapped this to an open cashdrawer printer template:

The printing part didn't work at first. That was because I used an existing Printer mapping which had a department filter in it. Changing the filter to * solved it.
