Title: How can I enforce where employees can not close the ticket unless fully paid?
Post by: DQ on April 26, 2013, 10:25:30 pm
Hello,
I am going to use Samba for my ice-cream store where ticket must not be closed until paid.  Many times when I try to end work-period, it gives error saying there are open pending tickets and work-period can not be closed.

When I select All Tickets, I can see open ticket items.

How can I enforce where employees can not keep open ticket items? It must be paid or order should be canceled.

What department type are you using? If you are using "A La Carte" then the procedure should be

Take Order>Print Bill>Settle

These 3 processes should be done by the employee. Unless the employee finishes the last process "Settle" the order will remain open.
Tel your employee to finish the process always.

Thanks for your help.  I am using FastFood as we don't have sitting tables.

If you are using Fast Food type then SambaPOS will not allow any open tickets.
