Title: No printing

I am attempting to get Samba POS to work with a standard Brother A4 printer, via a USB port.

The printer is attached and working, and other programs can print to it.

I have been through all the settings.  I have set the printer type to "Ticket printer" as that is the only setting which produces a reaction from the printer ("Receiving data").  However, nothing prints.

If I print to a pdf file, the resultant file is blank.

When printing reports, nothing happens at all.

I may be missing something really obvious here - can anybody point me to a solution to get Samba POS to print invoices etc.?

Update: we attached a different printer and that works, so it seems to be a hardware issue.
