Title: Highlighting the current menu button
Post by: prismbeer on December 17, 2011, 12:01:40 am
On our main POS screen, we have upper level buttons for Drafts, Growlers, Wine, Food, Merch, etc.

My question is, is there any way to have the group that is currently displayed be highlighted or have some other means of telling the operator which upper level group is currently selected? Our Drafts and Growlers are the exact same products (beers) and it would be nice to know that we are on Drafts as opposed to Growlers.

Make sense?

I can send a screen shot and more detailed inquiry if necessary...

Thanks!

Jack

You can solve it by giving different button colors to different groups. For example Drafts can have blue color and Growlers can have yellow. You can also give same colors to category buttons to visually indicate the category color.

We've done that, but we'd like to be able to visually identify which group/products are currently displayed. Is there a way to change the button based on it's state such as selected?

Hello prismbeer. This is a nice idea and until we implement such feature you can try something different.
Now you'll see a big "Drafts" button on top of your menu items in Drafts category. Clicking it will do nothing but it will visually indicate which category you are in.
