System Requirements for any Samba setup

Most of the setups i get only run on very few computers.Does it mean that some computers don't meet the System requirements.What are the best idea requirements::
Operating system
Processor
ram
Software requirements
Hardware requirements

Any computer that runs Windows XP SP3 + .Net Framework 4.0 should operate SambaPOS. Hard to tell what might be the reason of fails without detailed information.
