Reports generating very slowly

Hello Emre,

Being long time, my only issue and support that i need is regarding the slow reports.

It takes a long time to generate monthly reports. Is there anyway i can solve this.

*What do you mean by long time? Seconds or minutes?

I am using 2.99

To be specific my monthly transaction is around 10,000.

It takes like more than 5 minutes maybe closer to 10 minutes for the report to generate.

System is a quad i would is it is very fast.

If it is SQL Compact database you should upgrade to SQL Express. 10.000 Transactions is too much for SQL Compact.

If it is already SQL Express please send a backup of your database to info@sambapos.org

Sorry for the late response.

Well i do not know which one I have, I only installed SambaPOS.

I am guessing its SQL Compact.

How can I change it to Express?

You can use this tool to generate a data transfer script

The easiest way will be using SQL Management Studio tool for your SQL Express version. I'm using it.
If you didn't installed it while setting up SQL Express you can download it separately. But unfortunately SQL Management studio is a big download.

I didn't tried them before but you can try one of these free alternatives
