As the receipt does not print automatically when a partial payment is made I have been trying to attempt a workaround. (I kinda hope this problem will be resolved in V3 but I need to setup to test)
Is it possible in rules to compare amounts (say payment amount) with the total ticket amount. Could a setting value be set up and this variable placed in a rule to compare against the amount that has just been paid and appropriate action delivered.
I have been trying but I either get an error or no change to receipt printing.
If I can implement this some way, split payment receipts will work satisfactory.
So far in production I have a rule which sets a setting value for PaymentAmount and PaymentType. This works with a receipt template so if a partial payment is made it prints a receipt but this does not work with Tendered and Change Due primarily because TicketTag Tendered and ChangeDue are not created until the ticket is closed and Payment Received Rule is invoked before the closure.
