Multiple database
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:12:44 pm »
Imagine this:
just for example i have 3 pizzerias in 3 different cities and every restaurant has its own database. I think it would be nice if you can add funcionality such as connect to multiple database and do reporting for your company with all branches that you have.

I'm not sure how it should be working but I think that better separating of POS and managing module would help.

Any ideas?

I think you can set Sambapos to email reports to a email address.

Emre/John would have more information on this.

SambaPOS is capable of generating any of the pre defined reports and emailing them when the branches close the Work Period for the day.

This is something that I looked at but for a single site - http://forum2.sambapos.org/index.php/topic,143.0.html

You need to set an Action to generate each report you wish to have emailed. Remember that all but the CSV report are .XPS files.
Then create an Action to email the reports to you.
Finally create a Rule that triggers on End Of Work Period, and add the Actions created above, with the Email Action last.

Then every time the branch closes a Work Period, you get the reports emailed to yourself.

If you need details steps on how to set this up, please ask.
