Miscellaneous Products
« on: March 15, 2012, 03:00:02 am »
Hi

From time to time I will get a customer that would like something custom made, something not on the menu and not on the POS product list. With the current POS I had the ability to enter a "Misc Product" with a price and it would add it to the ticket/bill. Does SambaPOS also allow for that?

Thanks

Create a 'Misc Item' product with zero cost, add it to a Menu.
When you select it from the menu, type in the price (big numerator), select the item, click change price. This will also work for standard users.

Hi Johns,

I would also like to add the 'Misc Item' but I can not find 'click change price' in the menu.

Thanks

Its not in the menu setup, it is on the POS screen when you are selecting items.

Select the Misc Item from the menu, then click on the item to select it (just like you would to cancel/void the item), then the Change Price button will show up at the bottom of the buttons on the left hand side of the screen.

I find the extra modifier is a great way round the custom items as the dish or drink is always based on something on the menu and one update to add extras and change the price both up and down.
