By Gift you mean Voucher?

Voucher sales still goes to the report as total amount.

I would like to enter a sale with 'zero amount'

Why you need that? Do you need it for a specific product or all products? Can you elaborate the case?

Emre,

Actually I give my staff a daily fixed amount of 1 particular food and water bottle for each staff. However the staffs do not necessarily take the full amount. they might take fewer items or they might not even take any.

In order to record this I have made a new item with "zero" price, which I am unable to make a sale for.

This way I will be able to track the items the staffs are taking at each work period end. since it will be shown in the item sales report.

I really do not want to use End of Day to record this. Because differences in inventory comes very rarely.

And having a different item for this will help me keep record of it in the daily reports i take.

This is my case.

Evail thank you for the explanation. You can mark a zero priced item as gift so you won't get a "zero priced item warning". For ease of use you can enable "Gift" setting for that product on "menu item button" settings. So when you click that item it will appear as "Gift" automatically. Since this item is zero priced it won't change WPE "Gifts" total but it will decrease inventory.

Emre,

This is great! Thanks a lot Emre.

One more thing is it says "[Undefined]"

How can i assign the Gift Reason to the product.

Thanks Emre.

Sorry. There is no automatic way for assigning gift reasons.
Where it says [Undefined]?

Hmm this is not the gift reason. It should display user name there.
I'll check that.
